Ecosystems
An ecosystem is composed of the biological community and the abiotic environment. Changes in any abiotic of biotic factors in an ecosystem can result in dynamic changes to the nature of the system For example, a fire in a temperate forest completely changes the structure of this system. The once large trees would no longer be there, and the nutrients that were in the trees would go into the soil below. The ecosystem that was once a luscious forest has now become a prairie grassland.
