Food Chains
Food chains show the feeding relationship between different living things in a particular environment or habitat. Food chains represent a series of events in which food and energy are transferred from one organism to another. The chain starts with producers- organisms that can make their own food. Then goes to primary and secondary consumers who eat the producer and so on. A decomposer is the last organism in the cycle who eats the dead and decaying organisms- then the chain starts again.
